A budding music events label, MTRNM hosts a range of experiences across the US and overseas. The initial vision of its founders had one simple premise: bringing foreign nightlife to LA , and more generally, everywhere else it may be lacking. What started as a passion project alongside a team of young entrepreneurs and creative visionaries became a full-fledged reality.
As Head of Design, I took on the challenge of shaping the brand’s visual identity from the ground up, establishing comprehensive brand guidelines to adhere to across all print and digital assets including: logo design, custom typeface design, illustrated emblems, event posters, merchandise, and event collateral (menus, décor, signage). We established a clear voice and overall aesthetic for the brand through adhering to the guidelines and an SOP for implementation across all social media channels. Expanding on this role’s skillset, I also led the creative design team—setting weekly agendas, day-to-day tasks, hosting brainstorming sessions, gathering visual inspiration/refernces,coordinating with the Head of Social Media, etc.—to maintain a collaborative workflow constantly pushing MTRNM’s branding and visual identity in new, exciting ways.
