Designed and sold a capsule collection of sweatshirts as an ode to Amman, Jordan—my home. Using such an overarching theme, I knew that I would be able to attract a wide range of customers that would be interested in the clothing regardless of their personal style preferences. A pre-order system was established and upwards of 65 sweaters were sold. Three different designs were made with two iterations for each:
(1) “CITYSCAPE” - Inspired by a photograph I took of downtown Amman.
(2) “WELCOME” - Inspired by the endless street lights you see on the road to the airport when arriving to/leaving Amman.
(3) “IRIS” - Inspired by Amman’s infrastructure, eight lines spread outwards from the center representing the eight main roundabouts all streets lead to. Distorting these lines gave the design a visual resemblance to the folds of a Black Iris—the national flower of Jordan.
